About Kiki
Kiki Allgeier is a New York-based filmmaker, originally from Torrance, California. Kiki's idiosyncratic view of the world shapes her work and encourages others to examine their own assumptions. She occupies the liminal space between fantasy and objective reality and attempts to build bridges between them, highlighting the experiential commonalties of all people.
Kiki's films, performances, and videos have been presented at sites such as the Art Basel, Art Basel Miami, LOOP Barcelona, the Tribeca Film Festival, Monkey Town, and the Aurora Picture show.
Professionally she directs and shoots films for clients such as The Parker Palm Springs, Le Méridien, Diesel, Gant and frequently works as director of photography for artists. She recently collaborated as the director of photography and editor for Lawrence Weiner's film Water Exists in Milk, with Ralph Gibson on his new film project Ich Bin die Nacht, and as director of photography for Julika Rudelius on her films Adrift and Rights of Passage.
She is currently working as a commissioned artist by Jerome Sans, former director of Palais de Tokyo and current director of Ullens Centre of Contemporary Art, creating short films for the Le Meridien hotel as part of the LM100. Her photographs are represented by Gallery Nine 5 in New York City.
